Background

The proposed project includes a 4500-MW LNG-fired power plant including a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and gas pipelines, requiring an estimated total investment of US$5.09 billion.[1]

As of July 2023, there are no updates on the project and the project is not included in the Power Development Plan 8.[3] The terminal is presumed to be shelved.
