Traverse Gas Pipeline is a proposed gas pipeline in Texas, United States.[1]

Location

The pipeline would run from Agua Dulce, TX, to Katy, TX.[1]

Project Details

  • Operator: Whitewater Midstream[1]
  • Owner: Blackcomb Pipeline JV[1]
  • Capacity: 1,750 MMcf/d[1]
  • Length: 160 mi[1]
  • Diameter: 36 in[1]
  • Status: Proposed[1]
  • Start year: 2027[1]

Background

According to the project description, the bi-directional pipeline is designed to transport natural gas along the Gulf Coast from Agua Dulce in southern TX to the Katy area near Houston. The supply would be sourced from multiple connections including but not limited to the Whistler, Blackcomb, and Matterhorn Express pipelines. Traverse Pipeline will be wholly owned by the Blackcomb Pipeline JV (70% WPC, 17.5% Targo, 12.5% MPLX, which is incremental to MPLX's ownership interest in WPC).[1]
