Background

In 2017, BH-Gas and Plinacro signed a Memorandum on Understanding and Cooperation on continuation and intensification of project development activities" related to the project.

In September 2020, See News reported that BH-Gas had reached an agreement with the European Western Balkans Joint Fund (WBJF) to "create a feasibility study for the Trzac-Bosanska Krupa gas pipeline project, a profit and cost analysis, environmental impact study, and design project."[7]

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas project code for the BiH section is TRA-N-910 while the CRO section's code is TRA-N-303.[4] Energy-Community describes the project as a "New interconnector to improve the utilization of Croatia's already existing/ transmission infrastructure" and refers to it as GAS_02.[1]

According to the the 2021-2030 Plinacro plan, the Croatian section of the pipeline is scheduled to start construction in 2026 and be completed in 2027.[8]
