The Tyonek Pipeline brings gas from the Tyonek Platform in Cook Inlet to Nikiski and Beluga, Alaska. The Tyonek Platform began producing gas in 1968, with the initial pipeline only travelling south towards Nikiski. In 2018, an extension was constructed that connected Tyonek Platform to the Beluga Pipeline so the gas could be more efficiently transported to customers in Anchorage.[5][1]
