Background

UltraTech Cement Limited is part of the Aditya Birla group. UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement and ready-mix concrete (RMC) and one of the largest manufacturers of white cement in India.

In 2019, the company announced plans to expand capacity from 4.85 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 8.35 mtpa of cement production and 4.8 mtpa to 8.3 mpa of clinker production.
