Background

UltraTech Cement Limited is part of the Aditya Birla group. UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement and ready-mix concrete (RMC) and one of the largest manufacturers of white cement in India.

Dalla Cement Works, a flagship unit of Ultratech Cement Ltd., was taken over from Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. on 29th June 2017. As of 2022, Dalla had two units (Line-4&5) with a capacity of 2.0 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) Clinker, 0.5 mtpa cement production and a 27 MW captive thermal power plant. In August 2022, the company announced the commissioning of an additional 1.3 mtpa cement capacity at Dalla Cement Works. The plant capacity is expected to be enhanced to 3.5 mtpa clinker capacity anf 5 mtpa cement capacity.
