Background
UltraTech Cement Limited is part of the Aditya Birla group.[3] UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement and ready-mix concrete (RMC) and one of the largest manufacturers of white cement in India.[4]
UltraTech commissioned Dhar Cement Works (DCW) in Madhya Pradesh on 8 March 2018. The plant was commissioned in 12 months. The plant has an installed capacity of 2.5 mtpa clinker production.[5]
In 2024, UltraTech proposed the enhancement of clinker production capacity from 2 mtpa to 6 mtpa and cement capacity from 2.5 mtpa to 5.2 mtpa at the Dhar plant.[6]
