Background
The pipeline is proposed to allow for the relocation of the FSRU Golar Tundra Ship to a permanent location in the Ligurian Sea off the coast of Vado Ligure. It will consist of an offshore section that will make landfall in the town and an onshore section that will connect to the national grid. [1][2][3] The pipeline was first proposed in 2023 and was scheduled to begin operating in 2026, however, no updates on the status of the project have been made since 2024.[3]
