Vía Verde Project, also known as the Gasoducto del Norte or Northern Gas Pipeline, is a cancelled natural gas pipeline that was proposed in Puerto Rico.

Background
The pipeline was proposed by the Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortuño to deliver gas from gas-rich southern Puerto Rico to northern Puerto Rico, in part as a way of kickstarting the domestic economy. In 2012 it was cancelled.[1][2]

The pipeline experienced opposition throughout 1993–2012.[1][3][5][4]
