Background

In January 2022, an initial agreement was signed between the Kuwait Gulf Oil Co. and Saudi Arabian Chevron Co. to export spare gas from the Wafra Oil Field (Kuwait-Saudi Arabia).[3]

In October 2024, the Wafra Joint Operations venture began accepting bids for the constructing of the pipeline.[4]

In April 2025, it was announced that Kuwait's Combined Group Contracting Company (CGCC) had been awarded the pipeline contract for around US$42 million. The project was scheduled to be completed within 30 months, putting a potential completion date around 2028.[2]
