Background

Between 2019 and 2021, the Warnes plant was upgraded to incorporatee four combined cycle blocks of 120 MW each. The plant also has a single open cycle gas-fired unit of 40 MW.[9] The open cycle unit is not included in GEM's Global Gas Plant Tracker due to the tracker's minimum capacity requirement of 50 MW.[10]
