Background

A plan to build the 3-mtpa terminal was disclosed by CNPC and SK Group in March 2020.[1] gas power station was also planned along with the LNG terminal. [1]The total investment is estimated at 10 billion yuan ($1.54 billion)[2]

As of 2022, there was not evidence for further development of the terminal in over two years, and it is considered shelved.

As of January 2024, the project has no further development and is considered cancelled.
