Background

The proposed complex includes a cement plant, coal handling plant, coal ash handling plant, and a biomass and solar energy project.

A July 2011 Ministry of Coal summary of proposed coal projects identifies the park as one of several Welspun proposals that are pending applications for coal allocations.

AS of August 2015 the coal-fired power station has yet to receive environmental clearance.
