West-East Gas Pipeline 5 (WEPPV) is a propsed natural gas pipeline.


The pipeline runs from Ulugqat, Kizilsu, Xinjiang to Zhongwei, Ningxia, China, with further potentials.[1]

The natural gas source of the pipeline comes from Xinjiang Tarim Oil&gas field, Coal gasification, and imported natural gas from Central Asia. The pipeline will eventually reach Yunnan, Guizhou, Fujian, and Guangdong.[2] In October 2020 ownership of the pipeline was transferred from CNPC to PipeChina.[3]
