Wilton Power Station

Wilton Power Station is a 280 megawatt (MW) biomass-fired combined heat and power station owned by Sembcorp Utilities (UK) Ltd. The power station is located in Redcar and Cleveland, south of the town of Middlesbrough in North East England.

Background

The power station was first commissioned in 1952[1] and burnt coal until 2007.[2]
