Background

Owner Wittekind has a partnership with Orcan Energy to produce electricity. The electricity production is predicted to lead to savings on the existing cooler and convert the waste heat generated during cement production into a total of up to 8,000 megawatt hours of electricity per year.  This energy can be used by the cement plant to reduce CO2 emissions by around 4,000 tons.
