Background
On November 28, 2019, the company announced the capacity replacement, upgrade, and renovation construction project. This project involves reducing the capacity of the existing 2×550m3 ironmaking blast furnaces in the plant and constructing a new 1×1350m3 ironmaking blast furnace along with supporting auxiliary facilities.[1] This project is also a key initiative supported by the Xiangfen County government in 2022.[2]
