Xiangshan Coal Mine (陕西陕煤韩城矿业有限公司象山煤矿) is an underground coal mine located in Yaozhuang Village, Xincheng District, Hancheng City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Xiangshan Coal Mine belongs to Shaanxi Shanmei Hancheng Mining Co., Ltd. The Xiangshan Coal Mine was formed by the merger of the Xiangshan Large Well and the Xiangshan Small Well. The Xiangshan Large Well was built in July 1970, with a design production capacity of 2.1 million tons/year; the Xiangshan Small Well was built on November 28, 1991, with a design production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year. Passed the national completion acceptance on November 29, 2003, the two wells were merged and officially put into production, with a designed production capacity of 2.4 million tons/year.[2]Xiangshan Coal Mine is a high gas mine.[3]In 2019, the approved production capacity was 2.4 million tons/year.[4]

On February 12, 2011, an underground accident occurred in Xiangshan Coal Mine. 12 miners were injured. Fortunately, all of them escaped.[5]On January 30, 2018, an electromechanical accident occurred in Xiangshan Coal Mine, and 1 person died.[6]
