Background on Project

In 2015 China Resources Holding was permitted to build a 2 x 660 MW coal-fired power station in the city of Xiantao.[1][2]

The project was planned for completion in 2017,[3][4] but construction did not begin until March 2019.[5]

Unit 1 was connected to the grid by the end of June 2022,[6] and operation was expected shortly after.
