Xinfeng power station (赣浙能源信丰电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1320-megawatts (MW) in Datangbu Town, Xinfeng County, Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 国家电投信丰电厂2×1000MW机组工程, 信丰电厂二期.

Background on Project
Xinfeng power station was initially proposed as a 2 x 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical coal plant in Datangbu Town, Xinfeng County. It was proposed by Shenhua Group.[3]
As of September 2017, the project was seeking environmental clearance.[4]
In August 2018, the project sponsor changed to Jiangxi Provincial Investment Group, and the capacity to 2 x 660 MW.[5] In February 2019, Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group and National Energy Investment Group also became sponsors.[6]
The project was permitted for construction in May 2019.[7] Construction began in March 2020.[8]
The two units were operating by June 2022.[9][10]
In May 2023, the Feasibility Study Report Review Meeting was held for a 2 × 1,000 MW Unit Engineering. The Jiangxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources accepted the application for land pre-examination and site selection. In July 2023, additional surveys were underway. The project was planned to start construction in December 2023, put in one unit in December 2025, and the other by March 2026.[11][12]
