2014年11月，陕西省煤炭生产安全监督管理局以陕煤局复〔2014〕89号文对陕西西韩兴隆煤矿有限公司机械化改造设计进行了批复，同意该矿进行机械化改造。2018年6月，原陕西省环境保护厅以陕环批复〔2018〕222号文对陕西西韩兴隆煤矿有限公司矿井机械化改造项目环境影响报告书进行了批复。该煤矿机械化改造后，生产规模1.20Mt/a。
