Xixia Ningxia power station (宁夏电投西夏热电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1100-megawatts (MW) in Tongxin Street, Xixia District, Yinchuan, Ningxia, China. It is also known as 宁夏电投银川热电.

Background

The existing power station consist of two 200 MW units, which went into operation in 2008. It is owned by Ningxia Power Investment Group.[1]

Expansion

Ningxia Power Investment Group has proposed a 2 x 350 MW expansion of the power station. The proposed units were permitted in 2015, and are planned for operation in 2017.[2]

As of 2016 the plant was under construction.[3]

Unit 3 was commissioned in January 2018,[4] and unit 4 in February 2018.[5]
