Ownership Tree
This ownership tree is part of the Global Energy Ownership Tracker, a project of Global Energy Monitor.
Background
The six existing coal-fired units of Yangluo power station, totaling 2,600 MW, were brought online between 1992 and 2006. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[5][6]
Description of Expansion
Huaneng was planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW. However, there have been no news of this plant since 2007,[7] and it appears to have been cancelled.
Phase IV Unit 7 had initial feasibility study report preparation services tendered in December 2024[8].
In April 2025, feasibility study and preliminary consulting services were tendered[9], and feasibility study review was tendered in June[10]. In September 2025, the EIA was announced for public comment[11].
In January 2026, the feasibility study was approved[12], and the relocation plan consultation contract was awarded in March[13].
