Background
BEFAR Group is constructing a 350 MW subcritical coal plant on Huanghe East Road in Bincheng District, with two 50 MW back-up units. It is planned for operation in 2017. The plant was originally developed by Weiqiao Group and later transferred to BEFAR Group.[2][3]
Construction was completed in 2018.[4]
A social stability risk assessment was publicized for a 1x350 MW unit at this station in March 2023[5]. In November 2024, the unit was connected to the grid[6]. In March 2025, the unit passed the 168-hour trial run[7].
