Background on Project

China Resources proposed a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 700 MW in Hubei Province. The plant went online in 2014.[1]

In March 2023, China Resources Power (Yichang) Company announced a new, third unit of 350 MW.[2][3] Unit 3 was expected to be ready for operation in 2025.[3]
