Yimin open-pit mine (华能伊敏煤电有限责任公司露天矿) is located in Ewenki Banner, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is the country's first coal-electricity integrated enterprise. Currently, has a production capacity of 22 million tons per year.[1]

Coal Mine Background

On April 17, 2013, the Yimin open-pit mine obtained a 22Mt/year production license issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, marking that it has officially entered the ranks of open-pit coal mines above 20Mt nationwide.[2]

In March 2020, the production capacity was approved to be 27 million tonnes per year.[3]
