Yitang Coal Mine (山西义棠煤业有限责任公司) is an underground coal mine located in Liutungou, Yitang Town, Jiexiu City, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Yitang Coal Mine is a reorganization and reintegration mine approved by Shanxi Province in 2009 with a 1.8 million tons/year design production capacity.[2] As of the end of January 2021, the approved production capacity was 1.8 million tons/year.[3]

On March 14, 2019, a safety accident occurred at Yitang Coal Mine, resulting in three deaths and four injuries.[4]
