Background

The pipeline's source is imported oil at Yizheng Port. A parallel project, Yizheng–Changling Parallel Oil Pipeline, was proposed in 2013 and started operation in 2017 to support the growing demand of the central region in China. In October 2020, ownership of the pipeline was transferred from Sinopec to PipeChina.
