Yueliangtian Coal Mine (贵州盘江精煤股份有限公司月亮田矿) is an underground coal mine located in Panjiang Town, Panzhou City, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Yueliangtian Coal Mine belongs to Guizhou Panjiang Refined Coal Co., Ltd. It was put into operation in December 1971, with a design production capacity of 0.6 million tons per year. Since 2006, its approved production capacity has increased to 1.15 million tons per year. Currently, Yueliangtian Coal Mine is undergoing merger and reorganization, and its designed production capacity will reach 1.8 million tons/year, and its service life will be 65.3 years.[2]The approved production capacity in 2019 is 1.15 million tons per year.[3]

At 1:15 on May 2, 1976, a gas explosion occurred in the Yueliangtian Coal Mine, killing 2 people and seriously wounding 1 person.[4]At 11:30 on January 29, 1995, a transportation accident occurred in the Yueliangtian Coal Mine, resulting in one death.[5]On November 4, 1997, a gas explosion in the Yueliangtian Coal Mine killed 43 people and injured 1 person.[6]At 18:58 on November 30, 2000, a transportation accident occurred in the Yueliangtian Coal Mine, resulting in two deaths.[7]At 17:10 on April 27, 2020, a roofing fall accident occurred in the Yueliangtian Coal Mine, resulting in two deaths.[8]
