Yuhuan power station

Yuhuan power station (华能玉环发电厂, 中煤玉环三期1×1000MW扩建项目, 中煤玉电1X1060MW大型清洁高效煤电项目) is an operating power station of at least 4200-megawatts (MW) in Yuhuan, Taizhou, Zhejiang, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating.

Background
The power station consists of four 1,050 MW units that were built from 2006-2007. Unit 1 was the first 1,000 MW unit commissioned in China. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[3][4]
In 2021, the province listed a power station expansion as an "energy security" project in the 14th Five-Year Plan period.[5][6]
A January 2022 document described the power station layout.[7]
In April 2023, the expansion project was described as 1 x 1,000 MW.[8] The second expansion unit, Phase III Unit 6, was therefore presumed to be shelved.
In May 2023, Phase III was included on a Zhejiang key projects list.[9]
