Yuncheng Gunlü power station (关铝集团运城关铝热电公司) is a 560-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Shanxi Province, China.

Background on Plant

Yuncheng Gunlü power station is a 2 x 200 MW coal-fired power station built in 2008 and owned by Shanxi Guanlü Group.[1][2]

Expansion

In May 2017 Shanxi Guanlü Group was permitted to build two 80 MW coal-fired back-up units for the power station, units 3-4.[3]

Construction began in July 2017. Operation is planned for October 2018.[4]

Unit 3 was commissioned in March 2019.[5] Unit 4 was commissioned in 2019.[6]
