Coal Mine Background

The Yuwu Coal Mine is operated by Shanxi Lu'an Group Yuwu Coal Industry Co., Ltd. It was restructured from the original Tunliu Coal Mine. The project started in October 2002 and was constructed in two phases, the first phase with a production capacity of 2.7 million tons per year and the second phase with a production capacity of 3.3 million tons per year. The first phase of the project was completed and put into production in June 2007 and reached production that year, and the second phase was completed and put into production at the end of 2008.[1] The current production capacity of Yuwu Coal Mine has reached 7.5 million tons per year.[2] On June 11, 2017, a wire rope rupture occurred in Yuwu Coal Mine, killing one person.[3]
