Zakho power station is a cancelled 1,260-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in the autonomous region of Kurdistan, Iraq.[1]

Background

An agreement was originally signed with the Northern Iraq Regional Government in 2013.[2] In 2015, the World Bank's Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency issued a proposed guarantee.[3]

As of 2020, there were no signs of further progress on the project, so it is considered cancelled.
