Background
The Zhongying Paper Mill Cogeneration Power Station was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in January 2021, and will be used to provide heat and electricity to the Anhui Zhongying Paper Mill Company, as well as to the larger Suma Modern Industrial Park (where that Anhui Zhongying Paper Mill Company is located in Suma, Suzhou, Anhui Province, China).[1][2][3] The 160 MW project was undergoing an environmental impact assessment (EIA) as of July 2021.[4]
In October 2021, the major paper project began construction, so the captive power station is assumed to be under construction.[5]
