Zhuhai LNG Terminal, also known as 珠海金湾LNG接收站, 中海油珠海LNG接收站, and 金湾绿能港（珠海LNG）, is an LNG import terminal in China with units that are operating and in construction.

Background
Zhuhai LNG Terminal is an LNG terminal in Guangdong, China.[9][10]
Phase I of the Zhuhai LNG Terminal began construction in October 2010,[11] and was completed in 2013 with three 160,000 cubic meter tanks and a receiving capacity of 3.5 mpta.[9] [12]The terminal will supply natural gas to the cities of Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Jiangmen.[13] A 3.5-mtpa Phase Two of the project was proposed.[14] In May 2020, Phase Two began the invitation to tender for the social stability risk assessment service, signaling the start of the second phase of the LNG terminal project.[15]
Phase 2 received permit for construction in May 2021.[16] It began construction in June 2021, including five storage tanks with 270,000 cubic meters each. The capacity of phase 2 is 3.5 mtpa.[17] The operating date was set at the end of 2023. By February 2023,[16] the construction is ongoing.[17]
金湾绿能港（珠海LNG）二期项目于2021年6月开工建设，同时建设5座27万立方米液化天然气储罐及配套设施；2024年建成投产后，金湾绿能港（珠海LNG）二期项目将成为华南地区规模最大的天然气储运基地，年处理能力可达700万吨，折合气态天然气约100亿立方米。按照1户居民每月用气30立方米计算，100亿立方米天然气大约可供近3000万户居民使用1年。[17]
As of September 2023, the construction is still ongoing, and a new start year was reported as 2024.[18]
As of December 2023, 81.6% of the construction has been completed according to the local media.[19]

The 2025 GIIGNL Annual Report classifies this expansion project as operating, but as of June 2025 there is no evidence of this, and we still consider them under construction.
