AES Patliputra Energy

From Global Energy Monitor

The AES Patliputra Energy is a subsidiary of AES India which in turn is a subsidiary of AES, the US headquartered power utility. AES Patliputra Energy is proposing to build the 2640 megawatt (MW) Jagdishpur power station at Jagdishpur in Bhagalpurin district the state of Bihar, India.[1]

It is proposed that the first 1320MW stage be commissioned in March 2016 with the Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) having the right to purchase up to one-quarter of the power supplied to the grid.[2] However, a November 2011 AES profile on its current and projected generation assets does not mention the project.[3]
