Background

The Abansky Coal Mine (Абанский разрез) is an operating surface coal mine in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia.

The Abansky coal mine is owned and operated by Krasnoyarskkrayugol OJSC, a subsidiary of Russian Coal.[5]

Its capacity is 270,000 tonnes per year.[6][7] But it appears that the actual production of the mine is much lower, in 9m 2021 the Abakansky coal mine only produced 50,000 tonnes.[8]

The other mine operated by Krasnoyarskkrayugol is Pereyaslovskiy coal mine, which makes up 98% of the company's production.[9]

There was no production data available for 2022 or H1 2023, as of August 2023.[10]
