Background
The Amasra B coal mine is a proposed opencast mine, by Hema Enerji, a subsidiary of Hattat Holdings Energy Group, producing 10 million tonnes per annum, near Amasra, Bartin, Turkey. The mine would power the HEMA Amasra power station.[5]
As of 2021, the HEMA power station that if would fuel is cancelled. The mine project is likewise presumed cancelled. The Amasra B coal mine is operated by Hema Enerji, a subsidiary of Hattat Holdings Energy Group. The project has been subject to a significant amount of local controversy.
