ArcelorMittal Kraków steel plant (Oddział w Krakowie (Polish)), also known as ArcelorMittal Poland S.A. Oddział Kraków, Huta Sendzimira (predecessor), and Tadeusz Sendzimir Steelworks (predecessor), is a 2600 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) retired steel plant in Kraków, Lesser Poland, Poland.

Background

In October 2020, ArcelorMittal Poland announced a plan to close the ArcelorMittal Krakow steel plant permanently, citing the Covid-19 pandemic as a main factor in their decision.[2] ArcelorMittal plans to move production to ArcelorMittal Dąbrowa Górnicza steel plant.[2]
