ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel Anakapalle steel plant is a steel plant in Bagaraiahpeta, Nakapalli, Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and blast furnace (BF) technology.

Background
ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel India in November 2024, announced its intend to set up an integrated steel plant with a capacity of 24 million tonnes per year in Anakapalle district, Andhra Pradesh. The plant will be set up with a total investment of INR 1.5 lakh crore and is planned to be built in two phases. The first stage will see the construction of a blast furnace with a capacity of 7.3 million tonnes per year, while the second stage the capacity will be expanded to 24 million tonnes per year.[1][2] The first phase of the steel plant is expected to be completed by January 2029 and the second phase by 2033.[2] The construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in early 2025.[3]
In March 2025, AMNS started acquiring land in Anakapalle district for construction of the proposed plant.[4][5]
