Arvand Jahanara Steel Khouzestan plant (شرکت فولاد جهان آرا اروند), also known as Arvand Jahan Ara Steel, is a steel plant in Khorramshahr, Khuzestan, Iran that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) and direct reduced iron (DRI) technology.

Background
The Arvand Jahanara steel plant opened in 2022 with a single 220 tonne Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) for the production of up to 1.2 million tonnes of steel annually.[1] The long-term multi-part plan for the site includes a further two EAFs and three Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) units, totaling 6 million tonnes in DRI capacity.[2] Once the first DRI unit is constructed and can directly supply hot DRI instead of cold DRI from other facilities, the capacity of the first EAF will also increase to 1.5 million tonnes per year.[3]
The plant is particularly important for its production of extra-wide slab steel, used in construction and for large pipes.[4]
