Arvand Kaveh Steel Khoramshahr plant (شرکت فولاد کاوه اروند), also known as Arvand Kaveh Steel Company, is a steel plant in Khorramshahr, Khuzestan, Iran that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) and direct reduced iron (DRI) technology.

Background

The Arvand Kaveh steel plant opened in 2017 in the Arvand Free Zone with a 600 thousand tonne per year wire and rebar rolling mill. There were originally plans to add 1.7 million tonnes in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and 2.0 million tons per year of Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel capacity.^[1]^[2] With no updates on that project since, the additions are assumed to have been cancelled.
