Byelorussian Steel Works (ОАО Белорусский металлургический завод, Беларускі металургічны завод (Belarusian), БМЗ), also known as BMZ, is a steel plant in Zhlobin, Gomel Region, Belarus that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
Byelorussian Steel Works is a state-owned enterprise of Belarus.[1]
In August 2020, amid the mass anti-government protests in Belarus, workers at the plant took part in the demonstrations at the facility, which resulted in the temporary idling of several furnaces and shops.[2]
