Chenjiashan Coal Mine (陕西陕煤铜川矿业有限公司陈家山煤矿) is an underground coal mine located in Miaowan Town, Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

The Chenjiashan Coal Mine belongs to Shaanxi Shanmei Tongchuan Mining Industry Co., Ltd. It was completed and put into production on June 11, 1979.[2]In 2008, it was identified as a high gas mine.[3]The approved production capacity in 2018 was 1.8 million tons/year.[4]

On April 6, 2001, a gas explosion occurred in the Chenjiashan Coal Mine, which killed 38 people and injured 7 others.[5]On November 28, 2004, a particularly serious gas explosion occurred in Chenjiashan Coal Mine, killing 166 people.[6]On October 23, 2016, another accident occurred in Chenjiashan Coal Mine, and one person was killed.[7]
