Background

Cheremnova Coal Mine (разрез им. В. И. Черемнова) is a SURFACE mine in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.

Cheremnova coal mine is owned and operated by Razrez Cheremnova LLC, which is owned by Yukas Holding Investment Company.[2][3] Some media articles refer to it as being owned by TalTEK, which could be associated with Yukas Holding.[4] However TalTEK's website does not list this mine, as of October 2022 and October 2023.[5]

The mine was opened in 2010.[6] There is no production history available.

A new coal mine project Kyrgaisky Promezhutochny Coal Mine was mentioned as a 'continuation of the Kyrgaisky section which is developed by the Cheremnova coal mine'.[4] The article further stated that presently (2020) at Cheremnova coal, the depleting coal deposits are mined, and the resulting empty space will be used as a dump for the planned Kyrgaisky Promezhutochny Coal Mine. Based on this it appeared that the mine's production is not significant.[4]
