Background
The Corvus Metallurgical Project is a greenfield underground longwall coal mine proposed by Australian privately-owned company, Corvus Resources Pty Ltd.[2]
As of August 2026, the mine is still within the permitting stage, with Corvus Resources in the process of preparing the draft environmental impact statement (EIS). Pending approval, construction is slated to start during 2027.[4]
