Background
The Diler iron and steel plant was established as a rolling mill in 1954. The steelworks began operating in 1984.[1]
Atlas Energy Production AS, co-founded by Diler Holding S.A., likely powers the Diler iron and steel plant.[2]
The steel plant is located inside the Dilovasi Industrial Zone which houses 193 other industrial facilities. Researchers have found that this zone in particular has a massive influence on the air quality of the region.[3]
