Background
The power station is not to be confused with the Dongguan Jintian Paper Mill power station nearby.
The Dongguan Jianhui Paper Mill power station is a captive power plant that provides electricity to the facilities of the Dongguan Jianhui Paper Company. The plant appeared to include a gas-based boiler on site as well in December 2020.[1][2]
In 2021, the city of Dongguan, Guangdong, announced a plan to convert all coal-fired captive power plants in the area to gas-fired ones within several months. The Dongguan Jianhui Paper Mill power station was included in the list.[1] The date of their full conversion to gas had not been announced yet, however.
