Egyptian Iron & Steel Company Cairo plant (شركة الحديد والصلب المصرية (Arabic)), also known as Hadisolb, is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) retired steel plant in Helwan, Cairo, Egypt.

Background

The Egyptian Iron & Steel Company plant in Cairo started its operation in 1957. It is considered one of the oldest public sector companies in Egypt. In January of 2021, the government took a decision to liquidate the company due to losses of nearly $450 millions.[1]
