Ennore-Tuticorin Gas Pipeline

The Ennore-Tuticorin Gas Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline.[1]


The pipeline runs from Ennore to Madurai, Trichy and Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu and branches out to Bengaluru via Hosur in Karnataka.[2] The exact route can be seen in a July 2014 plan submitted to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board.[3]

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board authorized GTPIL to build the pipeline in October 2015.[1] Construction began in June 2018.[4] In March 2019 the Ennore LNG Terminal which will supply gas to the pipeline was commissioned, and construction is reported to be continuing.[2]
